Us |
North Cumberland Fire Department
serves the residents of Cumberland and the
surrounding communities.
The North Cumberland Fire
Department employs fourteen fulltime union
firefighters and the Chief of the Department. The
department is a combination department, therefore
utilizing 10 call firefighters.
North Cumberland Fire is governed by a District
Board of Trustee's. Day to day business is
administered by the Chief of the Department.
The Town of Cumberland is broken down into four
separate Fire Districts, protecting approximately
34, 000 residents. All four districts respond on
automatic aid to the other three in emergency
situations or at the request of the officer in
charge of the shift.
The Department has four shifts with three
firefighters working two ten hour days and two
fourteen hour nights followed by four days off. The
Chief, Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal all work five
eight hour days, Monday through Friday.

Fire Prevention |
 |
North Cumberland Fire Department considers Fire Prevention an integral part of our fire service effort as well as a nexus to a successful business environment. It is our belief that the impact of fire prevention should be both positive and productive to both the residential and business communities. |

Station Tours |
|
From time to time North Cumberland Fire
Department Conduct's station tours for
local Boy Scouts and Girl Scout
organizations as well as varioius other
social groups, such as MOM's Club and
Senior Citizen Organizations. |

the position of Call Firefighter. Check

for openings. Come learn, train, and experience what it's like to be a firefighter. Any person
18 years of age may qualify. |
